OUR SERVICES
Psychiatric medication management.
Careful evaluation, evidence-based prescribing, close monitoring, and thoughtful deprescribing for adults and adolescents across Southwest Missouri — in person in Webb City or through secure telepsychiatry.
HOW IT WORKS
What medication management looks like here.
Medication is one part of treatment, not the whole of it. Our approach is deliberate at every step — including knowing when to stop a medication.
Comprehensive evaluation
Your first visit is an unhurried diagnostic evaluation — symptom history, prior medication trials and responses, medical history, labs, family history, sleep, and substance use. Nothing is prescribed before we understand the whole picture.
Thoughtful prescribing
We select medications based on evidence, your diagnosis, your goals, and your tolerance for side effects — and we explain the reasoning, the expected timeline, and the alternatives before you start.
Ongoing monitoring
Follow-up visits track response, side effects, and function, with lab and metabolic monitoring where indicated. Doses are adjusted deliberately rather than reflexively.
Careful deprescribing
When a medication is no longer helping — or the regimen has grown larger than the diagnosis warrants — we taper safely and gradually, with a plan and close follow-up.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Care that stays with you between visits.
Longer, unhurried visits
Medication management here is not a five-minute refill appointment. Visits are long enough to actually review how you're doing.
One prescriber who knows you
You see the same clinician visit to visit, so treatment decisions build on history rather than starting over each time.
In person or by telehealth
Follow-up medication visits can be completed by secure telepsychiatry when that's more practical for you.
Coordinated with your team
We work in collaboration with your primary care provider, counselor, or therapist so treatment stays aligned.
Affect Health will accept commercial insurance, Missouri Medicaid, and Medicare. Our tentative start date is October 1, 2026, pending insurance credentialing.
